Pinanga crassipes is a palm tree species in the Arecaceae family. It is only found in Borneo. This shade loving understory palm grow short and quite thick trunk, it has beautiful mottled when juvenile and grow pinnate leather like leaf when matured. It requires high humidity with minimum temperature 68F. Grows the best on slightly acidic soil in the garden
A beautiful dwarf palm with entire or sparsely pinnate, light and dark green mottled leaves. The slender, canelike stems grow to 4 m (13 ft.) tall. It originates from the understory of rainforests in western Thailand and on the Malay Peninsula, and will feel most at home in a protected spot in the tropical garden. Due to its small size, it can also be kept as a potted plant.
