Syngonium Wendlandii is a rare and fast growing syngonium that has arrowhead shaped leaves are a dark velvet green with a silver line down the middle. As the plant matures it will sometimes lose the silver line down the center of the leaf.  It has beautiful deep green colored leaves that look like velvet. The leaves have white veining and sometimes get so dark, they appear to be black.

How to Care for those Syngonium Wendlandii  Plants

If you are a novice plant parent, then the Syngonium Wendlandii  plants are a smart choice! Not only will they forgive you in times of some benign neglect, the long range of colours and textures of other Syngonium varieties means that you can hoard a fascinating collection of indoor plants according to your style and space.

A Syngonium Wendlandii houseplant needs a pot with enough drainage holes in bright and indirect light. In terms of attention, they won’t need that much but they’d still for sure or only when the soil is dry and plant food is needed rarely.

Light Requirements for Syngonium Wendlandii 

Syngonium will forgive you when you sometimes forget but if you want to see that vibrant colour, you’d want to place them in an area with medium to bright light. Morning light is fine, however, if not available, they will also survive with 12 to 16 hours of artificial light. If you don’t want burnt leaves, then you should not put them under direct sun rays though!

Soil Mixture for Syngonium

In the wild, Syngonium plants can settle into a nook of a tree and climb high!. You can mimic this by finding the perfect Stake for your Syngonium to climb. Although not all Philo’s are climbers! Check out our blog on Syngonium types!  Syngonium plants work well with orchid potting media but a regular potting soil is good too. But we guarantee you, the potting mix, DIRT works!

Water for Syngonium Wendlandii 

A plant will forgive you through hard times when it does not need frequent watering. Just like that of a Syngonium! You can celebrate out or mope in sometimes and maintain its vigor. You’ll know when a Syngonium plant needs a drink (yeah, just like us!) when the surface of the soil starts to dry out.

Temperature Needed for Syngonium Wendlandii Like most common houseplants, Syngonium prefers an average indoor temp of 18°C to 24°C. If you’re comfy in your space, then your Syngoniums must be, too! Just remember to keep your Philodendrons away from areas that cause temp fluctuations and drafts such as heating and cooling systems or open doors and windows, etc.

Humidity for Syngonium Wendlandii 

Most of your Syngonium Plant pals won’t require much but some have a reputation for needing lower humidity needs.

Fertiliser for Syngonium Wendlandii 

Plant food for Syngonium is, less is more!
