Hands down our new favorite fern. We love plants with multiple leaf shapes, and this fern has one of the most drastic displays of dimorphism. The infertile fronds (or leaves that don’t produce spores) grow low to the ground, forming a mat of cloud-shaped, slightly fuzzy greenery. As the plant matures, it grows highly segmented, fertile fronds that tower over the rest of the plant, looking like moth antennae.
• Light: Medium to bright indirect light. Protect from direct sun.
• Water: Water when the top 1″ of soil feels barely moist. Don’t let dry out.
• Considerations: These ferns are great for terrariums, because they love to stay moist.
