Calathea ‘Silver Plate’
Broad, silver-green leaves, sometimes with flashes of pale pink, and dark purple undersides. Large leaves mean this is an excellent air purifying plant.

Calathea Care Sheet
Light: Plenty of indirect, bright light. Can tolerate some shade, but colour may fade. Keep above 15°c, and away from drafts
Water:Â Keep soil damp at all times, but not soggy. Water little and often, and allow excess water to drain
Soil/Nutrition:Â Well-draining houseplant potting mix, feed monthly in spring and summer
Humidity:Â Thrives in high humidity, so mist regularly, or place on a pebble tray to increase humidity. Also an ideal bathroom plant
Pruning and propagation:Â Remove old, faded leaves and keep mature leaves dust free by wiping with a damp cloth. Propagate via root divisions in spring and summer
