Coelogyne Rochussenii Fragrance (Necklace orchids) – Care
They have often a sweet scent, attracting different kinds of pollinators, such as bees, wasps and beetles.
Coelogyne Rochussenii Fragrance is a warm-growing, pendulous flowering orchid from low tropical areas of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. It is really common in Singapore under cultivation and forms huge spectacular specimens with almost a curtain of pendulous spikes of flowers all around the pot.
Description :
Plants bloom throughout the year with forty 6.25 cm wide flowers. Flowers can be fragrant with the scent of lemon. It’s grown for its handsome evergreen foliage and for its long draping clusters of fragrant, pale lemon-yellow blooms. Each blossom has five lance-shaped “petals” and a central creamy-white lip. The lip is marked with several yellow ridges and two brown bands.
Culture:
Plants are usually grown in baskets. Plant grows in intermediate to warm temperatures with partial shade (bright indirect or filtered light)

Coelogyne Rochussenii Fragrance Care instructions:

Water: Water them in the morning when the media is dry. Ensure there is moisture in the media and keep them from drying up.
Light: Ensure a good dose of indirect sunlight. Ideally the early morning light is advisable.
Temperature: Warm to cool growing plants with temperature between 21°C to 38°C suitable for growth.Humidity: Maintain humidity level of 60% – 80%. Regular watering in plants helps maintain the humidity and encourage growth. Good air circulation is a must.
Fertilizer: fertilizing twice a week for both vegetative growth and flower with very less strength.
Note: Never fertilize a plant that is completely dry, because this can cause major damage to the roots.
Potting: Anthurium should be repotted in a pot with coarse mix which can hold moisture and can maintain humidity. Media should be as such so that water drains out properly and provides proper aeration.
