• Light:
  • Indirect Light is Crucial: Hypnum imponens thrives in low to moderate, indirect light, mimicking its natural habitat on forest floors beneath tree canopies.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Direct sunlight will quickly dry out and scorch the moss, causing it to turn brown and die.
  • Artificial Lighting: If using artificial lights, full-spectrum LED grow lights are ideal. Aim for a cooler color temperature (e.g., 6500K-7000K) to mimic shaded conditions. 10 hours a day is a good starting point.
