East Indian Holly Fern grows best in partial to full shade. It prefers bright indirect light or filtered sunlight. Direct harsh sun can scorch the fronds, causing browning and dryness along the edges. In outdoor gardens, it performs well under trees, along shaded borders, or on the north or east side of buildings. Indoors, place it near a window with filtered light or in a bright room away from direct sun.

Temperature and Climate
This fern prefers mild to warm temperatures between 16–28°C. It tolerates moderate cool conditions better than many tropical ferns, but it should be protected from extreme heat and frost. In very hot climates, ensure deep shade and good humidity. In cooler regions, it can be grown in containers and moved to protected areas during very cold weather.
