It is commonly known as the ‘Showy Desmodium’. Found in the Eastern and Western ghats of India, it is an undershrub with braid like leaf-leaflet arrangement and white flowers!💚🌿
It is used in folk medicine to treat cold and fever, malaria, excessive menstrual flow and the leaves are also applied to ulcers

  • Phyllodium pulchellum, also known as Showy Desmodium, is a relatively low-maintenance plant that thrives with the following care:

    • Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade. Ensure it receives at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.   
    • Soil: Well-drained soil is essential. A sandy loam mix with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0-7.0) is ideal.
